Montesinos Skatepark, located on George Washington Avenue in the Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is the first space entirely dedicated to skateboarding in the country. This space was donated in 1998 by the mayor of the city, and since then it has been one of the most renowned spaces in the skateboarding scene in the Dominican Republic. Part of its value is the fact that it is located in a historic part of Santo Domingo and the Dominican Republic, the Colonial Zone. The Colonial Zone was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and the richness of the country’s history and culture surrounds this iconic skatepark. Since the park’s founding, it has been maintained by Santo Domingo’s skateboarding community, along with the support of other skateboarding communities from around the country.
Project 20 was created in order to completely rebuild this space. In spite of the skateboarding community’s efforts throughout all these years to maintain the park in its best condition to practice skateboarding, the existing structures are extremely deteriorated. With your help, we will provide new and safe rails, ledges, fun boxes, and quarter pipes for this noteworthy space in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

In celebration of the 20 years of the park’s inception in 2018, Tropical Mind has initiated and founded this campaign, the Project 20 Montesinos Skatepark. In order to raise the money necessary for the park’s restoration, Tropical Mind is dedicating a percentage of its earnings to Project 20, as well as facilitating expositions of art from around the world, and finally by receiving any kind of donation through GoFundMe Click on this link :
